The Basic Facts and Purpose:
The“Sleepover for Syria” is an interactive experience designed to help students understand the plight of the Syrian people and the humanitarian crisis that exists in that country. While it is impossible to fully grasp what being a refugee means, the goal of the sleepover is to raise awareness of a contemporary human rights issue, appreciate the status of exiles all over the world, and to raise money for relief efforts for Syrian refugee camps.
